Originally from a small town in New Jersey, at the age of 21 Megan decided she needed to get out of her comfort zone and move onto something new. She bought a one-way ticket, packed two suitcases and headed to Hawaii. While on the beautiful island of O'ahu, her eyes were opened to a different way of life. Her interest for holistic health grew and she decided her journey as a bodyworker was about to begin. She began looking for a place to study and her search led her to a beautiful town in Arizona, surrounded by red rocks and filled with people that shared her passion. She couldn't have picked a more perfect place to study massage than Sedona.
After attending North Arizona Massage Therapy Institute in Sedona, she made her way back to Hawaii where she spent her mornings working as a naturalist/tour guide, taking people to swim with wild dolphins. She met people from all over the world and got to see things that she thought were only part of her dreams. She spent her afternoons working at an incredible spa on the North Shore sharing her love of bodywork with anyone that would allow her to. She was living a dream. After 6 beautiful years in the Hawaii sun, sand and water, she felt like she wanted more. She took herself to a different coast and started exploring the shores of California. In California, she deepened her practice of yoga and completed her 200 hour teacher training.
Over the past several years, she has maintained her massage, craniosacral therapy (CST) and yoga practice. As she felt her CST practice was leaning towards pediatrics in 2018, she made the decision to dive into becoming a doula. She loves the connections created with her Doula families and she is constantly inspired by what a woman’s body is capable of. She doesn’t see herself ever getting tired of being part of the team guiding families through childbirth. She enjoys the constant learning experience bodywork, yoga and being a Doula bring to her life. Now planting her feet in the sand on the Emerald Coast, she can't wait to see what is in store for her future.

Currently, 22 states, five Canadian provinces, the District of Columbia, and the US territories of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands have laws regulating naturopathic doctors (NDs). In these states and provinces, naturopathic doctors are required to graduate from a four-year, in-residence naturopathic medical school and pass an extensive postdoctoral board examination (NPLEX) in order to receive a license or registration. Licensed naturopathic physicians must fulfill state- or province-mandated continuing education requirements annually, and have a specific scope of practice defined by the law in their state or province. States currently offering licensure and registration to naturopathic physicians include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington.
Scope of practice regulations vary among licensed/regulated states, as do the parameters and restrictions for practitioners located in as yet unlicensed venues. Legal provisions still allow naturopathic doctors to consult with patients, making recommendations and suggestions based on prior diagnosis, in several of the yet unlicensed states and provinces.
